"Travels of a Young Gardener"
Our program with Riz Reyes begins at 10:45. Riz is a speaker, writer and plant enthusiast and will take us on a journey to seek out the best gardening plants in the Pacific Northwest.
The purpose of this club shall be to share and stimulate the knowledge and love of horticulture among club members and the community and to encourage study and appreciation of plants, pollinators and the preservation of natural environments.
Meetings are normally held the 3rd Friday of the month, September through June at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6309 S Wilson Place., Clinton. Church opens at 9, the program starts at 10:30 and the meetings adjourns at noon

Most tulips and hyacinths are good for 2-3 years. For longer lasting species, try daffodils, bluebells, glory-of-the-snow, lilies, grape hyacinths, Alliums or "snowflakes"- Leucojum, according to Sunset Magazine.
